Reedición de Universal Music de Sparkle in the rain, el sexto álbum de Simple Minds publicado de forma original en el año 1984. Se presenta en una caja de 4 CDs y 1 DVD; también disponible en CD sencillo, doble CD deluxe, vinilo, Blu-ray y descarga digital.

El disco uno es una remasterización del álbum original en los estudios Abbey Road por Andrew Walters y supervisado por Charlie Burchill. El disco 2 contiene caras B, algunas estrenadas en CD por primera vez. Incluye: una versión en directo de 'Hunter and the hunted', 12 remixes de Waterfront, 'Speed your love to me', 'Up on the catwalk' y 'A brass band in Africa', y 'Bass line'- la canción instrumental original que se convertiría en 'White day hot'.

El disco 3 cuenta con un concierto inédito grabado en Barrowland, en la ciudad natal de la banda, el 28 de febrero de 1984. El concierto continúa en el disco 4, completando el disco con tres canciones en unas sesiones para la BBC Radio 1 en septiembre de 1983. El DVD contiene una mezcla de sonido envolvente 5.1 realizado a partir de las cintas maestras multi-pista, por el músico/productor Steven Wilson (cuatro veces nominado al Grammy). Se completa con los vídeos originales, 'Top of the pops' y 'Oxford Road Show' performances de 'Waterfront', 'Speed your love to me' y 'Up on the catwalk'.

También incluye un libreto de 36 páginas con notas extensas de Simon Cornwell, nuevas entrevistas con Jim Kerr y Charlie Burchill, así como fotos inéditas de la banda y recuerdos de la época.
