Con un vídeo con letra estrenado el 26 de octubre de 2017, coincidiendo con el lanzamiento del disco.
El audiovisual oficial llega el 9 de noviembre de 2017. Dirigido por J.A.C.K. (Madonna, Christine and the Queens), se ve a MØ multiplicada. "Estoy muy contenta de poder presentar este vídeo porque no solo representa fielmente a la canción, sino también a mí", dice MØ. "Se inspira en una pintura titulada 'El baile de la vida' de uno de mis artistas favoritos, Edvard Munch. Es una ilustración en la que aparecen tres mujeres -una en blanco, otra en rojo y una tercera en negro- y desarrolla la idea de las tres etapas de la vida humana: juventud, madurez y vejez. Siempre, desde pequeña, me he sentido atraída por esta imagen por la sencillez de su simbolismo y emotividad, y llevo mucho tiempo deseando rodar un videoclip en el que aparezca esta idea representada. Y ya que When I was young habla de la nostalgia y reflexiona sobre la vida -especialmente el pasado, pero también el presente y el futuro- me pareció la oportunidad perfecta para hacerlo. A J.A.C.K. se le ocurrió que yo interpretara a las tres mujeres a la vez, bailando el baile de la vida, seducidas, fascinadas y engañadas mutuamente, llevando este concepto a niveles que yo ni siquiera hubiera imaginado".
