Melody es el primer disco en solitario de Sharleen Spiteri, tras dejar atrás su proyecto como grupo, Texas.

Melody es un disco 100% suyo. Ha compuesto todos los temas, lo ha producido y ha tomado el control artístico del mismo. Con sabor y sonido "vintage", recordando el rock and roll y doo-wop de los años 50 y 60, pero con un espírito contemporáneo.

Una colección de 11 canciones, cuyo primer single es All the times I cried, para un álbum de pop dinámico, muy femenino y muy personal.

Sobre el single All the times I've cried. Los ecos de "shangri-las" abren esta balada pop suntuosa donde Sharleen se desliza en el tono de la inspiradora Dusty Springfield. "El guiño a Dusty surgió de forma inconsciente", dice Sharleen, "pero cualquiera que me conozca sabe de la gran influencia que ella ha sido para mí. Con esta canción pretendo llevar al oyente de viaje, partiendo desde un punto bajo en el que te sientes solo y herido para después subir con el coro donde canto. Ahora mismo, voy a sobreponerme, voy a luchar y voy a superarlo. Tenía en mente también muchos discos de doo-wop. Suenan muy up tempo, aunque sean canciones increíblemente tristes".
