El guitarrista Daniel Kessler comenta sobre la canción: "Estaba justo al lado de Andrew [Wyatt] cuando empezó a hacer estas cosas increíbles con el diseño de sonido, y fue realmente emocionante. Recuerdo pensar: no tengo ni idea de qué tipo de música es esta; estos grandes estruendos ocurrían incluso antes de que Paul cantara. La lógica me habría dicho que tal vez era instrumental. Entonces Paul se levantó, fue al camerino y empezó a cantar esas melodías, y de repente quedó claro que no iba a ser así".
