Second best es la tercera pista y el tercer adelanto del álbum From The Pyre de The Last Dinner Party (2025).
Emily Roberts, guitarrista y compositora de TLDP: "Ojalá pudiera volver atrás y decirme a mí misma que valgo más que eso, y que nadie tiene por qué aceptar ser la segunda opción", dice Emily sobre la canción. "Espero que la canción capture el dolor, la ira y la desesperación que sentí, pero sobre todo el desafío y la satisfacción que ahora tengo al poder inmortalizar a esta persona en una canción y mirar atrás con más madurez".
Inspirada en los riffs pop angulares de Sparks, trata sobre el tira y afloja de estar obsesionado con alguien, pero sabiendo que al final te traicionará de nuevo, y permitiendo que eso suceda porque todavía lo amas.
