Black light es el segundo adelanto del álbum Black light / White noise de Smith / Kotzen (2025). Acompañado por un videoclip nuevamente producido y dirigido por Kevin y Richard Ragsdale, los conocidos videógrafos The Ragsdale Brothers (Alice Cooper, Slash, John Fogerty, Lenny Kravitz, Theory of A Dead Man), y presenta al dúo actuando con la bajista Julia Lage y el batería Bruno Valverde, junto con la acróbata, contorsionista del Circle Of Soleil, Gyulnara Karaeva.
'Black light' fue una canción que estuvo a punto de no aparecer en el álbum. Habla del engaño, donde la luz negra es una metáfora que revela la verdad sobre una persona que acecha bajo la sombra. Sin querer el tema se ha convertido en un gran aliciente del álbum, incluso prestando su nombre a la mitad del título del álbum. Con la ayuda del fotógrafo británico John McMurtrie, también inspiró la portada del álbum con sus luces ultravioleta, recogiendo pintura especial en las guitarras Fender y Charvel personalizadas, de cada uno de los guitarristas.
"Fue un vídeo divertido de hacer", confirma Richie, "como es siempre todo cuando nos juntamos. Todo fue fantástico y volvimos a sentirnos todos juntos y muy cómodos como la grabación del álbum que hicimos en Londres el año pasado".
