Asphalt meadows

Asphalt meadows es el título del décimo álbum de estudio de Death Cab for Cutie, y el primero desde 'Thank you for today (2018). Un disco que sale vía Atlantic, producido por John Congleton (St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten, Wallows). Como primer avance, Roman candles. Después llegan Here to forever y Foxglove through the clearcut.

Death Cab for Cutie sobre la génesis y la creación de 'Asphalt meadows': "Comenzó por separado durante un momento de gran incertidumbre. Se completó juntos durante sesiones alegres e inspiradoras con un nuevo amigo y productor, John Congleton. Irónicamente, las circunstancias aisladas en las que comenzó nos llevaron a crear nuestro álbum más colaborativo hasta la fecha".

La portada es una foto del líder del combo, Benjamin Gibbard.

Coincidiendo con el lanzamiento, el grupo presentó tres canciones en el programa de televisión Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
