La vocalista Emily Haines comentó sobre el tema: "No todos tienen una vida convencional con relaciones convencionales. 'All comes crashing' es una canción de amor que va más allá del amor romántico, es una expresión de solidaridad con quien quieras tener a tu lado en caso de catástrofe. Puede ser tu mejor amigo, puede ser tu hermano de sangre o tu perro". Agregó: "La canción está dedicada a aquellos que consideras tu familia, sea lo que sea para ti".
