Lauren Mayberry, quien lanzó en solitario 'Vicious creature' (2024), declaró en un comunicado de prensa: "Esta ha sido la pausa más larga que nos hemos tomado entre álbumes y, cuando nos reunimos para componer nueva música, queríamos desafiarnos realmente y no repetir caminos ya recorridos.
