Carry the light es un álbum de Peter Frampton, el primero de música original en 16 años. Al guitarrista se le diagnosticó una enfermedad muscular degenerativa en 2019. Coescrito y producido junto a su hijo Julian Frampton, cuenta con la participación de cantantes y guitarristas como Sheryl Crow, Tom Morello, Bill Evans, H.E.R. y Graham Nash.
Frampton declaró en un comunicado de prensa que el álbum "fue uno de mis proyectos más gratificantes. Tuve la oportunidad de trabajar con mi hijo Julian, componiendo y produciendo juntos. Seguro que será el primero de muchos".
Se incluyen 10 cortes con Buried treasure como primer avance.
