Vegas, nuevo Box Set de Frank Sinatra

Los nombres de Frank Sinatra y Las Vegas parecen ineludiblemente unidos en un mismo capítulo en la historia de la música del siglo XX.El próximo 7 de noviembre se edita una caja que contiene actuaciones en directo grabadas por "La Voz" en esa ciudad del desierto americano.La caja, en una edición de lujo, consta de 4 CDs y 1 DVD e incluye abundante material inédito, además de un extenso libreto de 64 páginas con comentarios y fotos nunca vistas.

El primer CD fue grabado en directo en el Hotel Sands, del que Sinatra era propietario, en Noviembre de 1961.Incluye interpretaciones de clásicos como "The lady is a tramp", "Young at heart" o "Withcraft", además de una entrevista en audio sobre la segregación en los hoteles de Nevada, contra la que Sinatra luchaba.

El segundo CD presenta a Sinatra de vuelta en el Sands a comienzos de 1966.Grabado con la orquesta de Count Basie, conducida para la ocasión por el gran Quincy Jones, contiene canciones inéditas que no aparecieron en el disco "Live at the Sands".

El tercer disco contiene una actuación de Marzo de 1982 en el mítico casino Caesar's Palace.Incluye duetos con su hija Nancy Sinatra en el hit "Stupid" y con su fiel amigo Dean Martin.

El cuarto CD incluye una actuación de Abril de 1987 en el casino Golden Nugget y cuenta con la presencia de su pianista habitual Bill Miller como conductor de la orquesta.

Por último, la caja incluye un DVD que contiene un concierto íntegro de Mayo de 1978 en el Caesar's Palace.
