El guitarrista del combo, Carlos O'Connell —quien creció en Madrid inmerso tanto en la cultura española como en la irlandesa—, declaró en un comunicado de prensa: "He sido fan de Rosalía desde su álbum debut, que era absolutamente precioso. Lo que realmente me entusiasmaba era cómo mantenía viva una tradición musical española; algo que, en un sentido espiritual, sentía afín a lo que nosotros hemos intentado hacer con la música irlandesa. Para alguien con raíces en ambos países, ha sido algo hermoso de presenciar. Es una artista que me ha dejado maravillado en cada etapa desde entonces".
