I was gonna cancel es una de las canciones del Kiss me once (2014) de Kylie. Cuenta con la producción de Pharrell Williams, quien también compone.
La canción se creó cuando Kylie iba a cancelar la sesión de grabación debido a que estaba teniendo un mal día y no se sentía con ganas de ir al estudio. Pero después de ver a Pharrell y derramar algunas lágrimas frente a él, este se inspiró para escribir el que ha resultado ser uno de los temas del disco.
Es el segundo single oficial (no promocional, o con videoclip) de la colección. Lanzamiento 12 de mayo de 2014. Estreno del vídeo con letra 8 de abril, y del oficial el 16 de mayo.
