True disaster es la cuarta pista y tercer single promocional de Lady wood (2016), el segundo álbum de Tove Lo. Una composición de la propia artista y Oscar Holter (DNCE, Hailee Steinfeld, P!nk, etc
).
La pista podría parecer como una canción de amor que habla de una relación destructiva, pero la artista revela que es realmente acerca de su doble personalidad. "Siento como que cada psicólogo que he tenido ha dicho que tengo dos partes: un lado realmente autodestructivo y uno que es verdaderamente ambicioso y echado para adelante y que quiere hacer las cosas. Supongo que es por eso que he llegado aquí". Dando más detalles continúa, "Si te enamoras de alguien que sabes que no es bueno para ti, o si simplemente te comportas de una manera que sabes que es destructiva, no te importa lo que te suceda. 'True disaster' tiene un ritmo muy fuerte, de gran alcance y que va a hacer que desees bailar, pero luego que escuches la letra y te sentirás como diciendo '¿qué diablos está diciendo realmente?'. Hay algo emocionante y liberador acerca de dejarse ir y seguir y seguir sin preocuparse de lo que vaya a pasar".
