Lovesick lullaby es el segundo avance de un álbum de Yungblud, Idols (2025). Estreno del video oficial dirigido por Charlie Sarsfield el 25 de abril de 2025.
Yungblud, vestido por los diseñadores británicos por excelencia Burberry, Fred Perry y Tom Baker, se ve en la parte trasera de un taxi negro de Londres antes de llegar a un pub abarrotado. El video está salpicado de referencias a la cultura pop, incluido un guiño al icónico comercial británico de Maxell de 1982 "Break the sound barrier", con Yungblud posando en un sillón, golpeado por la fuerza del altavoz.
Hablando sobre el tema, Yungblud dijo: "Hacer esta canción fue una fiesta y puedes escuchar eso en la grabación". Y añadió: "Intenté dejar que mi subconsciente hablara mucho y luego le diera sentido a mis palabras la tarde siguiente en una cocina, con resaca, comiendo pescado y patatas fritas con una taza de té. He estado en un viaje tratando de encontrar significado en diferentes lugares de todo el mundo, por lo que estaré eternamente agradecido, pero sentí como si mis pies se despegaran demasiado del suelo y tuviera que volver a mí mismo… a la música británica, al arte y la cultura británicos".
