Zero es una canción de Imagine Dragons para la banda sonora de la película Ralph rompe internet, dirigida por Phil Johnston y Rich Moore. El grupo compuso el tema para los créditos finales de la cinta de Walt Disney Animation Studios.
Según Dan Reynolds de Imagine Dragons: "...los aspectos emocionales de la película se reflejan en la canción Zero. [...] Es una película muy oportuna, porque aborda algunos de los problemas de identidad y soledad relativos a la generación de internet. La lucha interna de Ralph por la autoaceptación realmente nos resonó y esta canción habla de eso. La canción es una dicotomía en muchos sentidos, a veces hay una letra dura contra una bonita instrumentación uptempo. El resultado es, de alguna manera agridulce, lo que parecía oportuno teniendo en cuenta la complejidad del personaje de Ralph...".
Moore: "Resulta una apuesta atrevida la elección de esta canción que habla de alguien que se siente como un cero precisamente para cerrar la película, alguien que no siempre se ha sentido valorado, alguien que ha permitido que su ser esté solo en función de su relación con otra persona. Cuando esta única amistad es traicionada, se genera mucha inseguridad".
"Nos podemos identificar con ese sentimiento", añade Johnston, "pero la canción nos dice que no estamos solos. Han abordado el tema de la película de un modo que también te da ganas de bailar".
Lanzamiento y estreno del vídeo con letra el 19 de septiembre de 2018. Un vídeo oficial se estrena el 23 de octubre de 2018.
