"'Back to the radio' se siente como un gran hola introductorio o un gran adiós ceremonial", comentó la líder Dana Margolin. "Lo escribí a finales de 2019 cuando nos preparábamos para el lanzamiento de 'Every bad' y sentí que venían muchas cosas que no estaba seguro de saber cómo manejar. La canción surgió de un sentimiento de intensa soledad y de no estar preparado para lo que todos me prometían que estaba a punto de suceder, y un fuerte deseo de escapar sin saber a dónde quería escapar. Para mí, hay una gran sensación de catarsis en esta canción, de dejarte llevar y dejarte llevar".
